Captain is a dark antihero, with his moral level being comporable (at best) to worse than John Wick.
The son of a United States Marine Corps Raiders Captain (whose a USNA graduate and has just recently graduated from Ranger school) has committed suicide. Shortly before, a Fast Action Response Team truck ran over and killed Captin's wife while responding to a call. Captain, who himself was suicidal and nearly killed himself several times during his last year of high school alone, lost his will to live, and wanted to exact revenge on those who have wronged him.
Not bothering to get a Weapons license, he went straight to the black market, buying weaponry with the money he had left. He buys;
. A Winchester Model 70 bolt action rifle, chambered for .300 Weatherby Magnum, with a 26 inch barrel, and a scope mounted on it.
. A Thompson Model 1921AC submachinegun.
. A Cascadian MP-39 (think of an MP-40 in 7.62x25mm Mauser/Tokarev)
. A Browning Hi-Power.
